Fire Stopper (Passive Fire Protection)
Compartmentation and penetration sealing: seal service penetrations, fit fire barriers and make buildings compartment the way they should.
About the role
Our compartmentation surveys produce schedules of hundreds of penetrations, gaps and missing barriers. You'll fix them: fire-rated sealing of pipes, cables and ducts, cavity barriers, fire batt and mastic, collars and wraps, all recorded with before and after photos and the product data.
We deliver this work with our FIRAS-certificated contractors and want someone who takes pride in a seal that will still be right in twenty years.
What you'll do
- Seal service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors: batt, mastic, collars, wraps and pillows
- Install and repair cavity barriers and fire-rated boarding
- Work from survey schedules and label every repair
- Photograph and record each location in our app
- Follow the manufacturer's tested details and keep to one system
What we're looking for
- Experience in passive fire protection or fire stopping
- Knowledge of tested details and product data sheets, and why you never mix systems
- Comfortable working in risers, ceiling voids and plant rooms
- CSCS card and a full UK driving licence
Good to have
- FIRAS or IFC-certificated installer experience, or a Level 2 passive fire protection qualification
- Asbestos awareness, IPAF or PASMA
